What to Expect Getting Started
After an initial consultation and assessment, an individualized program will be developed for you based on several factors, including but not limited to:
your interests,
current level of fitness, including any health or wellness issues, and
your time availability
as well as your access to fitness equipment, trails, water bodies or pools.
As part of the program development, Izzy will help you to find open periods in your day or week for you to focus on you. And, for those dog lovers like Izzy, she will help you fit some exercise into your program for them, too - good for both your souls.
Training Style
Izzy's style is about getting you fit in a way that you will enjoy so that you maintain and be motivated to increase your level of activity. She feels that working with clients is all about the clients and not about her own preferences.
She will not force a training program on you, although she might give you some friendly encouragement and confidence boosting to step out of your box. Ultimately, she will do her best to help you find a workout program best fit to you so you can achieve your fit body.
Examples of Training Options
Bootcamps, circuit training and tabata style programs can be designed for you with all your favorites to get a total body workout. Examples of fitness training areas that may be considered for you as part of a well-rounded program:
PILATES
Flexibility
Cardiorespiratory including walking, jogging, running, bicycling, paddling, swimming among others
Core, Balance and Stability
Plyometric (Reactive)
Speed, Agility and Quickness (SAQ)
Strength and Resistance including tubing, free weights, kettlebells, core/medicine balls, among others
When
Evening or weekend and early morning training appointments and small group classes are offered.
Daytime appointments during weekdays cannot be accommodated at this time.
Where
Izzy will come to you and your friends, community, or coworkers. Private homes or businesses with some free floor space, a finished basement, or rec room, even better with a driveway or yard for fair weather days? How about a hall or community space at your senior center, faith-based organization, business, or club? Got green space? GREAT!
Who
MALE AND FEMALE CLIENTS ARE WELCOME. Also, Izzy will train individuals of ALL AGES and ALL LEVELS OF FITNESS.
In some cases, a physician's written concurrence may be required for those individuals with current serious or suspected health and wellness issues.
Additionally, written parental consent and parental/guardian presence is required at all training sessions with minors. Youth sessions are designed for the guardian and the child to participate as a means of providing a supportive environment and encouraging a positive lifestyle.
Pilates Training
Izzy completed a formal teacher training program to become a certified Pilates instructor. She taught Pilates under a mentor for over a year with additional prior teaching experience before sitting for the Pilates Method Alliance certification exam.
Izzy has some great deals to offer those interested in getting private Pilates sessions. All you need to get started is a mat and a place to practice. Izzy comes to YOU!
